Simple Sunday
Every Sunday, during my morning coffee (or matcha), I’ll share three incredible, mesmerizing, and powerful ideas changing the world and culture. Some ideas will be ads or about advertising. Some may be about fashion. Others will be about design, art, illustrations, animations, motion, audio, movies, or any other idea worth sharing and discussing. You get the idea.
TL;DR
a. I will share 3 big ideas
b. Cause I care about ideas
c. And you will too, subscribe
Idea 1. KISS
Hershey’s Kiss Christmas Bells is the longest longest-running Christmas spot in the US. It’s also one of my favorites. The spot demonstrates that creativity can be simple and really complicated at the same time. You see, to get to this idea, as basic as it is, you need to strip everything that’s unnecessary. A simple white background. Product front and center. Christmas music. For the brand, it works. It just does. So remember, next time, when in doubt, just go for KISS (or Keep It Simple Stupid), also one of the oldest creative strategies.
Idea 2. The Pace of Progress
Who doesn’t love unexpected, bold, and data-driven predictions? Every year, ad giant Dentsu makes some really good, easy-to-digest predictions they prefer to call trends. Take a look and prepare for 2024 like you should be, or do like me, and use it to avoid what everyone else is or will be doing next year. The full report PDF here.
Idea 3. How fast can your brand react?
