Idea 1. Let’s go camping

REI is the new Disneyland for grownups, and probably the only store that makes me reflect on the earth, its resources, and our responsibility to future generations. It also sparks dreams of adventures and possibilities. Once you enter an REI store, you immediately understand its mission, vision, and belief system. Their in-house content is also inspiring for their immense following and captivating for anyone who pays attention, outdoorsy types or not.

Idea 2. Theater of the Imagination

I'm a big fan of podcasts, especially those discussing audio and sound. In this episode of 99% Invisible, two of my biggest passions come together to explore the history of audio and radio advertising and the impact of using storytelling for commercial purposes. The theater of the imagination remains one of the most potent and underutilized tactics for creating impact and desire. Show creator and host, Roman Mars is undoubtedly among our generation's most creative producers, researchers, and voices.
