Every Sunday, during my morning caffeinated beverage of choice, I’ll share three powerful ideas transforming culture. Some ideas will be ads or about advertising. Some may be about design or fashion. Others will be about art, illustration, animation, motion, audio, cinema, books, or any other big idea worth sharing and discussing. You get the idea.

IDEA 1: The Slow Art of Claymation

Clay is a slow medium. That’s the point. Every frame is a decision, every micro-movement is human intention, and that friction becomes the charm.

The story isn’t “they almost ran out of clay.” It’s a reminder that constraints are a creative engine. The imperfections are not defects. They’re proof of touch. Proof of care. When the supply chain gets shaky, the studio doesn’t pivot to a shortcut. It protects the craft.

IDEA 2: The Best Soccer League (& Graphics)

Sports are no longer just watched. They’re read. The overlay is the new play-by-play. Score bugs, formations, standings, “misses next match,” red cards, momentum, live tables and data. The design isn’t decoration. It’s a language that shapes what fans want. Apple changed the how fans experience MLB, but can it change F1?

IDEA 3: Meta x Oakley

This is a land grab for POV content. The promise isn’t “smart glasses.” It’s hands-free capture + instant publishing. The product positions itself as athletic performance, not just lifestyle. It’s trying to remove every point of friction between moment & content. If Meta owns capture, they will or at least could influence culture upstream.
