Every Sunday, during my mid-morning flat white, I’ll share three powerful ideas transforming culture. Some ideas will be ads or about advertising. Some may be about design or fashion. Others will be about art, illustration, animation, motion, audio, cinema, books, or any other big idea worth sharing and discussing. You get the idea.

IDEA 1: Gucci x Kubrick

Gucci's turns cinematic memory into fashion storytelling with Mert & Marcus recreating Kubrick's compositions with forensic precision. The lesson is clear: if you're going to borrow from culture, borrow from the canon. But only if your craft can stand next to it.

IDEA 2: Ikea - You wouldn't believe it

This campaign flips the insight. Instead of defending affordability, IKEA leads with material honesty—and this works because IKEA has earned the right to make this claim. The brand's design credibility (Scandinavian minimalism, functional beauty) allows them to lead with material, not price.

IDEA 3: Samsung x Music Studio Collection

Samsung is now a design company led by Mauro Porcini, and their new Music Studio collection is proof the brand is starting with emotion, not engineering. This matters because tech brands usually lead with specs—drivers, frequency response, connectivity. This film documents Erwan Bouroullec process: "The dot is a creative, refined, and original expression of audio, perfectly balanced between contemporary design and cutting-edge innovation.
