Every Sunday, during my morning cafecito (or yerba mate), I’ll share three powerful ideas transforming culture. Some ideas will be ads or about advertising. Some may be about design or fashion. Others will be about art, illustration, animation, motion, audio, cinema, books, or any other big idea worth sharing and discussing. You get the idea.

IDEA 1: Lando Norris

Personal branding for athletes usually falls into two camps: boring and corporate or trying too hard. Lando Norris' site does neither. It's an experience that treats his story like the race it is—immersive, dynamic, showcasing his obsession for beautiful design. The attention to craft here from UX to typography to motion shows what happens when an athlete cares as much about brand as his performance on- and off-track. It's not a traditional CV. It's a statement.

IDEA 2: Expedition Impossible

Columbia sent a crew to The Edge of the Earth—and yes, they're trolling flat earthers in the process. But here's the thing: the legal disclaimers at the end are funnier than the entire campaign. It's a bold move by the CMO, agency, and CEO that commits to the bit without winking too hard at the camera. If you love what you do, and you trust your product this much, you do this kind of work. Period.

IDEA 3: Intermache – Conte de Noel

French supermarket chain Intermarché drops a masterpiece Christmas story with the line Not easy to make friends when you eat them (a beautiful metaphor). It's the kind of storytelling that doesn't rush to the product or the message—it earns it. And it's resonating loud and clear.

Other Holiday ads worth mentioning, compiled by Creative Boom.
